Distinctive features of the STM Base in the 0.18 - 4 kW Range

Symmetrical Base
The motor can be fitted onto the base either facing to the left or to the right - a set of holes has been drilled for this purpose.

The Base is Small and Compact
This small STM Base lifts the motor only 78 mm or 102 mm (dim. C) higher than it was before mounting.

Horizontal Drive with motor in Vertical Position
This is the most optimized drive because the mass of the motor does not have to be taken into account when the STM Base units are designed. Correct tension on the belts is important since the start-up torque on this type of equipment is usually high.
