V-belt Drives for Vibratory Equipment
The STM Base has inherent in its design, a torsional force which can :
• Pre-tension the motor base
• Allow the motor to move up or down against the pre-tensioned force and thus minimize uncontrolled movement
During stopping, the motor is allowed to move downwards against the increasing torsional force holding the motor back.
As the screen moves upwards, the motor also moves upwards, due to the torsional force of the STM Base unit. The V-belts are thus under tension, while the screen slows down. The STM Base minimizes the shock loading transmitted to the V-belts when the screen decelerates.
The base plate has been drilled to accommodate an off-set position. These twopositions enables the STM Base to function in all the various drive positions.
The STM Base can be utilized in all types of drives -
Although specific attention, in the 3 - 45 kW range, has been given to V-belt drives for vibratory equipment.
