Chain Drives

Always use Chain Rider if possible.
Tensioning Element on slack side of chain.
Mount closer to the big wheel.
Mount parallel as possible to chain drive
Mounting surface must be strong, flat and big enough for friction plate.

Reversible Chain Drives

Always use Chain Rider.
Tensioning Elements on both side of chain.
Mount closer to the big wheel.
Mount parallel as possible to chain drive
Mounting surfaces must be strong, flat and big enough for friction plate.

V-Belt & Flat Belt Drives

Use Roller or v-belt pulley with bearing
Tensioning Element on slack side of belt.
Mount closer to the drive pulley.
Mount parallel as possible to belt drive
Mounting surface must be strong, flat and big enough for friction plate.
